CAC Marine Services is a privately owned company that specializes in ship delivery. Our experience allows us to work with any type of ship, of any they can sail on their own keel and under their own power to any sea port worldwide.

CAC Marine Services provides marine services, partial or total administration and management of the ship transportation project, and any logistics required by specific vessel. We supervise the inspection and readiness of the ship, system and equipment technical testing, maintenance, documentation, ship certificates, voyage plan, recruitment, and provisions for the voyage. We evaluate and implement all technical support, administrative and operational aspects of the ship delivery project. Provide qualified, certified and experienced seafarers, for each of our deliver project; motivated deck and engine officers and ratings will operate the engines, prepare and develop the whole passage plan to the desired port of destination. Our goal is to deliver the ship as safely and quickly as possible.

Cotecmar Naval Shipyard has designated Captain Carlos A. Cortes to represent the company abroad in Orlando, Florida USA in order to extend its customer service, making it easier and faster for previous and potential new customers to communicate with Cotecmar. Additionally, a representative abroad will be able to promote the shipyard, sell its services, and advertise ship repair and maintenance. The overseas representative has been designated to establish initial communications with customers, answer questions, inform about the capabilities, services and shipyard availability. Any shipyard requirements will be forwarded immediately to Cotecmar commercial manager, in Cartagena who will assist, and be in direct communication with the new customer answering inquires.

Captain merchant marine Carlos A. Cortes, honored retired lieutenant commander from Colombian Navy, studied and graduated as deck officer Master/Captain merchant marine, Bachelor Degree in naval engineer electronic and in nautical sciences; with a specialization on human resources management.

License & credentials:

  • Colombian Master/Captain Merchant Marine Class A, Unlimited tons, STCW II/2 and GMDSS/GOC. License.
  • License endorsements as Master/Captain STCW II/2, GMDSS  GOC, and  SSO (Ship Security Officer), issued by Panama, and Bahamas maritime authorities.
  •  U.S.C.G. – MMC U.S. Merchant Marine Officer; Third Mate Unlimited tons license
  •  U.S.C.G. –   U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential.  Master/captain 200 Tons NC.
  • GMDSS Radio Operator’s License, FFC Federal Communication Commission. 02/21/2012
  • ISM Internal Auditor, Management Systems and The ISM code (Lloyd’s  Register).

EngineerChief Engineer; License, endorsements and certificates.

Chief Engineer merchant marine Fidel Cruz, was born in Guatemala where he started his education, training and working in the maritime industry on board general cargo vessels, reefers, containers ships, cruise casino vessels, cruise passenger vessels, oil rigs, and tug boats.

License & Credentials:

  • Panama Chief Engineer, Unlimited tons, STCW III/2  License,   valid until Sep. 4,  2017
  • Guatemala Chief Engineer license, valid until September – 2014
  • U.S.C.G. – U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential. QMED exp 2017
